ICM 1/35 Model T 1914 Fire Truck is a 1/35th scale model of the American fire truck on the chassis of the legendary Ford Model T. This car, produced from 1908, became the first mass-market vehicle for the middle class, and due to its versatility it was also modified for special purposes, including the fire service.
The Ford Model T, produced from 1908, became one of the most important cars of the 20th century. Simple, inexpensive and reliable, the car was powered by a 22.5 hp four-cylinder engine and made automobile transport available to a wide range of people. Mass production and ease of maintenance made it quickly spread not only in the United States but also abroad.
The Model T's versatile design allowed it to be adapted to a wide range of tasks, from personal transport to agricultural use to specialized versions. One of these was fire trucks that protected warehouses, factories, airports, or military camps from fires. These conversions were equipped with basic firefighting equipment and played an important role in protecting property and infrastructure during World War I and the interwar years.
ICM's 1/35th scale kit offers a detailed rendition of the 1914 Model T fire engine, featuring realistic bodywork, chassis and period firefighting equipment. The abundance of fine detail makes it suitable for both stand-alone display and as an attractive addition to dioramas with civilian or military themes.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
