1/35 Model W.O.T. 6, WWII British Truck

Ford W.O.T. 6 (War Office Truck) was one of the mainstays of British military logistics during World War II. Developed and manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in Britain, this rugged 4×4 truck was designed to handle rough terrain while providing sufficient payload capacity to carry material, ammunition, fuel and personnel. In total, more than 30,000 were built, making it one of the most widely used British military trucks of its time.

The W.O.T. 6 proved its worth on every major battlefield where British forces operated. In the North African campaign (1940-1943) it had to face extreme temperatures, sand and long distances between supply points. During the Italian Campaign (1943-1945) he again demonstrated his ability to navigate mountainous terrain and damaged roads. During the liberation of northwestern Europe from the Normandy invasion (1944) until the end of the war in 1945, it served as a reliable means of transport for fast-moving troops. Thanks to its durability and ease of maintenance, W.O.T. 6 remained in active service long after the war - until 1962.

These vehicles were produced with different types of bodies depending on the specific application: standard cargo hulls with tarpaulin, open platforms, tankers, workshops, radio stations and other specialized variants. This variability made it possible to adapt the truck to virtually any logistical need.
