The Soviet T-54B medium tank, introduced into service in 1957, was one of the most advanced versions of the T-54 series. Compared to previous versions, it had a new gun stabiliser, an upgraded sighting system and, above all, the ability to fight at night thanks to infrared equipment. The T-54B became the basis of many Warsaw Pact tank units and intervened in many conflicts during the Cold War.
