Sturmgeschütz III in the Ausf. G was one of the most widespread and effective self-propelled weapons of the German army during World War II. The version produced by Alkett in February 1943 already included a number of design modifications - reinforced frontal armour, a shieldand reliable 75mm gun armament - and was deployed both on the Eastern Front and in other parts of Europe.
