The Tiran 4 Sharir is an Israeli modification of the Soviet T-54 tank captured during the Arab-Israeli conflicts. As part of an extensive modernization, the machines were modified for Israeli conditions - among other things, they were fitted with a new communicationsm equipment, American machine guns, upgraded propulsion and adapted mounts for canisters or other equipment. The Tiran 4 machines were actively deployed, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s, including the Lebanon War.
