The Type 3 Japanese Heavy Machine Gun is a 1/35-scale 3D-printed resin conversion kit from CMK.
The Type 3 heavy machine gun was derived from the Hotchkiss machine gun. Japan purchased a license for Hotchkiss machine guns in the early 20th century, but Japanese designer Kijiro Nambu made design modifications to better suit the Japanese Army’s requirements. Initially, the Type 38 heavy machine gun was produced, but further modifications led to the introduction of the Type 3 machine gun. It was used starting in 1914 and fired the 6.5 mm Arisaka rifle cartridge. The Japanese Army used it during World War I, in all interwar conflicts, and throughout World War II. Captured weapons found their way into the arsenals of Kim Il-sung’s Korean communist forces and Vietnamese communist guerrillas. The machine gun is printed along with spare machine gun magazines, ammunition boxes, and, most notably, its characteristic tripod.
This is an add-on set; the plastic kit, paints, and glue are not included in the package unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.
