Trumpeter 1/35 Wehrmachtslokomotive V188 represents a pair of coupled locomotive sections. The wartime locomotive was designated D311, whereas V188 is its post-war designation. The kit name thus combines the locomotive’s military origins with its later designation.
Release 00225 includes clear glazing, photo-etched grilles and steps, 30 sprues and track roadbed. The model measures 876.2 mm long and 140 mm wide. Decals include Deutsche Bundesbahn V188001a/b markings, while the manufacturer also provides two camouflage schemes. When choosing a finish, distinguish post-war DB markings from the wartime D311 appearance. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
