1/48 British Bombs
MiniArt 1/35 British Bombs is a plastic set containing various types of British WWII bombs for gluing. Decals are included. Suitable for completing aircraft models and airport dioramas. The package does not contain the paints or glues needed for assembly.
British aerial bombs were among the basic armament of Royal Air Force bomber and attack aircraft during World War II. The RAF used a wide range of bomb types - from light fragmentation and incendiary bombs to heavy demolition bombs designed to destroy fortified targets, industrial sites and infrastructure. Each type had a specific design, weight and method of use appropriate to the task - for example, General Purpose (GP) bombs for general purpose use, High Capacity (HC) bombs with a thin wall and large charge for maximum pressure wave, or special incendiary bombs for attacking cities and warehouses. These weapons formed the backbone of the British bombing campaign over Europe and were deployed on virtually every battlefield where the RAF operated.
The 1:35 scale MiniArt add-on set offers modellers the opportunity to detail models of British aircraft or create realistic airfield scenes with armament loading. Decals are included to correctly label each bomb type according to historical models. The set is suitable for combination with models of bombers such as Lancaster, Halifax, Wellington or fighter bombers Mosquito, Typhoon and Tempest. Thanks to the detailed surface treatment and shape accuracy, the bombs can also be used on their own as a complement to dioramas depicting aircraft preparation for action, ammunition depots or the aftermath of air raids.
