Hobby Boss 1/48 F-80A Shooting Star is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The early American F-80A jet has a straight wing and characteristic tip tanks. This release offers two USAF schemes from 1948: FN-033, 44-85033 of 61st FS/56th FG, and PN-464, 44-85464 of 56th FG.
Over 110 parts on seven sprues include separate cockpit and wheel-bay components. The windscreen and canopy are separate clear pieces, with photo-etched seat belts supplied. Several tip-tank versions and bombs are included; stores should be selected to match the chosen aircraft. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
