1/48 F-8E Crusader "Marines" - Hasegawa + Cartograf + Masks
H2K 1/48 F-8E Crusader "Marines" is a model of the famous US Marine Corps fighter aircraft from the Vietnam War. The kit uses Hasegawa molds and is complete with top of the line Cartograf decals and masks. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Vought F-8E Crusader was an airborne fighter aircraft with a characteristic variable angle of attack wing, developed for the US Navy and Marine Corps. The E version was a more advanced variant equipped with the AN/APQ-94 radar system and the ability to carry a wide range of armament, including Sidewinder cruise missiles and bombs.
The F-8Es actively participated in combat operations during the Vietnam War, serving not only as fighters but also as combat support for troops on the ground. The Crusader's performance and weaponry earned it the nickname "The Last True Fighter." - It was the last American fighter to be armed with only guns as its main armament.
This 1/48th scale kit is based on Hasegawa's high quality molds and features detailed decals by Cartograf and masks to facilitate building. The "Marines" version features attractive coloring of US Marine Corps units.
