Hobby Boss 1/48 F4U-1A & F4U-2 Corsair is a twin pack of two plastic aircraft kits for assembly. The box contains two complete Corsair models: the day-fighter F4U-1A and night-fighter F4U-2. Their canopy types differ; the F4U-2 has a framed birdcage canopy and starboard wing radar pod. Decals offer white 17 and black 201.
Contents include radial engines, separate control surfaces and gun bays with separate covers. An accurate night-fighter F4U-2 benefits from adding the missing radar instruments in the cockpit and exhaust flame dampers. Folding the wings requires cutting and modifications as instructed; folded-wing braces are not included. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
