1/48 Focke-Wulf Ta 152 H-1
Hobby 2000 1/48 Focke-Wulf Ta 152 H-1 is a German high-altitude fighter aircraft from the end of WWII, developed from the Fw 190 type. The H-1 variant was optimized for high altitude combat and entered service in 1945. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Focke-Wulf Ta 152 was the last mass-produced piston fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe and one of the most powerful machines of its time. It was created as a development version of the successful Fw 190 with the aim of creating a fighter capable of successfullyto be able to fight against Allied bombers and escort fighters at high altitude. The Ta 152 H-1 variant was equipped with long, slender wings for better performance at high levels and a Jumo 213E engine with a two-stage, two-speed supercharger.
It entered service in early 1945 and was deployed in small numbers, primarily with JV 44 and Stab/JG 301. Despite its limited deployment, it was able to effectively counter modern Allied fighters due to its speed, climbability and strong armament.
