Hobby 2000 1/48 MiG-15bis / Lim-2 presents the legendary jet fighter from the early Cold War in its upgraded version. The MiG-15bis was an upgraded variant of the original MiG-15, while the Lim-2 was a Polish license production. The kit includes Bronco parts, Cartograf decals and P-masks for ease of use. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The MiG-15bis was an improved version of the original Soviet MiG-15 that entered service in the early 1950s. Compared to the basic version, it received a more powerful engine, modified air intakes and improved avionics. This type retained excellent manoeuvring capabilities and a powerful armament that included a 37mm cannon and two 23mm guns. The MiG-15bis became the standard fighter in many Eastern Bloc countries and participated in many Cold War conflicts.
The Polish version of the Lim-2 was a licensed copy of the MiG-15bis, produced at the WSK-Mielec plant. It served in the Polish Air Force mainly as a frontline fighter and later as a trainer.
The 1/48 scale Hobby 2000 kit combines plastic parts from Bronco with high quality Cartograf decals and included P-masks for easy masking of the cockpit and wheels. It offers accurate shapes, fine surface details and the ability to build both the Soviet MiG-15bis and the Polish Lim-2.
The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
