1/48 MiG-21UM
Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-21UM is a plastic kit of the two-seat trainer. It offers a detailed cockpit, instructor’s periscope, photo-etched parts and four colour schemes including a Czech aircraft. A centreline tank and two K-13 missiles are included. The Czech option requires replacement national insignia to correct their orientation. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.

Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-21UM depicts the two-seat training version of the MiG-21, with the instructor seated behind the student. The model includes both cockpit positions, the rear instructor’s periscope and a choice of canopy positions. Flaps and airbrakes also offer alternative positions.
Kit 02865 contains over 160 parts, including eight clear parts, photo-etched details, separate rubber main tyres, a centreline tank and two K-13 missiles. Four schemes cover Polish, Libyan, Russian and Czech aircraft. An independent review identifies incorrectly oriented Czech national insignia on the decal sheet; allow for replacements if building an accurate Czech aircraft. The model is 310 mm long with a wingspan of 149 mm. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
