1/48 P-38J Lightning one-sided mask for Tamiya
ASK masks for the Tamiya Lockheed P-38J Lightning plastic kit in 1/48 scale are one-sided. They cover the outside of the windscreen and canopy, with small and circular masks as well.
ASK designs the masks in-house, working directly from the parts of the Tamiya P-38J Lightning kit (1/48). Sheet ASK 200-M48068 from the SCALE MASK range carries shaped masks 1–22, the small round masks 42 and 43, and several large circular masks at the top. The one-sided layout deals with the outer face; the double-sided set is 200-M48069.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a twin-engined fighter with twin tail booms and a central nacelle housing the cockpit and the nose-mounted armament. On the P-38J the intercoolers moved beneath the propeller spinners, changing the shape of the front of the engine nacelles. The masks are intended for the Tamiya P-38J Lightning kit in 1/48 scale.
