1/48 P-51 D early recommended for Meng

The North American P-51D Mustang is one of the most famous fighter aircraft of World War II. The early production version of the P-51D differed from later blocks by, among other things, a different dashboard layout - a different oxygen regulator arrangement, simpler radio equipment, and a specific instrument layout matching USAAF standards of 1944-1945. It is these details that are crucial for modelers seeking historical accuracy, as the original plastic kit parts do not usually provide this degree of fidelity.

The Yahu Model YMA4819 is a 1:48 scale photoetch dashboard designed for the early version of the P-51D Mustang. The kit is made of thin brass foil (photo-etched) and features accurate color printing of instruments, dials, switches and labels directly on the surface of the part - so there is no need to repaint or use decals. JustStick technology allows the part to be simply attached and snapped into place without complicated bending or shaping, making assembly much easier even for less experienced builders. The kit is primarily designed for Hasegawa's 1:48 scale kits and will likely be compatible with newer Airfix kits as well.
