1/48 P-51D/K Mustang double-sided mask for Eduard
ASK masks for the Eduard P-51D/K Mustang plastic kit in 1/48 scale are double-sided. Besides the canopy glazing inside and out, they also cover the wheels and small clear parts.
As its own design, ASK developed these masks specifically for the glazing of the 1/48 Eduard P-51D/K Mustang kit. Set ASK 200-M48050 from the SCALE MASK range contains outer masks 1–7 for the windscreen and bubble canopy and an INTERIOR section with masks 8–14 for the inner side. The WHEELS section carries a pair of G26 wheel masks, and the CLEAR PARTS section round masks for clear parts A2, A6 and A9.
The P-51D gave the Mustang its bubble canopy with all-round vision and an armament of six 0.50 in machine guns. The near-identical P-51K was built at North American’s Dallas plant and differed mainly in its Aeroproducts propeller. The mask shapes follow the clear parts of the Eduard P-51D/K Mustang kit in 1/48 scale.
