Hobby Boss 1/48 JJ-5 is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The two-seat JJ-5 trainer belongs to the J-5/MiG-17 family and is known in export form as the FT-5. Decals offer three aircraft: Chinese Bayi 510, 63549 from the 4th Flying Academy and Pakistani 55-1136 of No.1 FCU at Mianwali.
The 133 parts comprise 125 grey and eight clear components. The model includes a tandem cockpit, engine parts, a multipart clear canopy and separate flaps. Underwing fuel tanks are supplied. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
