First kit of Swedish piston trainer and courier aircraft Saab 91 Safir in 1/48 scale. This sleek all-metal low-flying aircraft was one of SAAB's greatest export successes and was used to train pilots around the world from the 1940s to the 1990s. The model covers variants powered by Lycoming engines.
The Saab 91 Safir was primarily a training and courier piston aircraft of Swedish nationality, first flown in 1945. It served as a basic training platform in Sweden and export countries during the post-war period and the Cold War. The 91 B/C/D models were powered by Lycoming engines. The model by Tarangus is the first of its kind in 1/48 and is a detailed shortrun with a choice of four or three seat configuration. ⚠️ The kit does not include paint or glue.
