1/48 Seafire F.XVII one-sided fit and self adhesive express mask for Airfix
ASK masks for the Airfix Seafire F.XVII in 1/48 scale come as a one-sided, self-adhesive Express Fit set. They cover the outer side of the windscreen and teardrop canopy, with circular and ring masks added.
The masks are ASK's own design, matched to the glazing of the 1/48 Airfix Seafire F.XVII kit. Sheet ASK 200-M48194 from the SCALE MASK range carries shaped pane masks 1–4, curved frame strips 5–8, two trapezoidal masks 10, three small circular masks 9, four ring masks 11 and two C-shaped masks 12. The one-sided layout covers the outer face of the glazing; the double-sided version 200-M48193 adds masks for the inner side.
Compared with the Mk.XV, the Seafire F.XVII gained a stronger wing main spar and an extra fuel tank in the rear fuselage. Of the 232 built, Westland produced 212 and Cunliffe-Owen 20. The masks are shaped for the Airfix Seafire F.XVII kit in 1/48 scale.
