The casting carries larger protective covers and a number of small caps lettered for different positions on the airframe. Covers like these protect a parked aircraft against foreign object damage (FOD) and, with their RBF – 'remove before flight' – tags, come off before the flight.

With the covers fitted, the model immediately reads as an aircraft parked on the flight line, which suits modellers planning a display or a diorama with ground crew. The set is intended for the 1/48 Airfix Jaguar T.2/T.4.
