1/48 TBD-1 Devastator one-sided fit express mask for Great Wall Hobby
ASK masks for the Great Wall Hobby TBD-1 Devastator in 1/48 scale, in the one-sided self-adhesive Fit Express version. Dozens of masks cover the outer side of the long crew canopy, and circular masks are added.
ASK developed the set in-house, directly for the parts of the Great Wall Hobby TBD-1 Devastator kit in 1/48 scale. The Douglas TBD Devastator was a US Navy torpedo bomber and one of the first all-metal monoplanes aboard its carriers. Its three-man crew sat under a long, framed canopy. By 1942 the type was obsolete, and its squadrons suffered heavy losses at the Battle of Midway.
Sheet ASK 200-M48165 from the SCALE MASK range contains masks numbered up to 71 for the outer side of the glazing – mostly rectangular and trapezoidal masks for the individual canopy panels plus shaped windscreen masks – and four ring-shaped masks, 67. The masks are shaped for the Great Wall Hobby kit in 1/48 scale; the double-sided version is 200-M48166.
