1/72 Bristol Beaufighter TF.X one-sided painting mask for Airfix
ASK masks for the Bristol Beaufighter TF.X in 1/72 scale, a one-sided self-adhesive set designed for the Airfix plastic kit. Sixteen numbered masks cover the glazing from the outside, and the WHEELS section holds wheel masks.
The mask shapes come from ASK's own design work, matched to the parts of the Airfix Bristol Beaufighter TF.X kit in 1/72 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M72014 from the SCALE MASK range carries sixteen numbered masks for the clear parts – from large windows and frame strips to small panes – plus a WHEELS section with wheel masks labelled with the kit part numbers. The set is one-sided, for the outer side of the glazing of the Airfix kit in 1/72 scale; the double-sided version is 200-M72015.
The Beaufighter TF.X, nicknamed the “Torbeau”, was a two-seat torpedo fighter with Hercules XVII engines optimised for low altitude. With 2,231 built it was the main production version of the Beaufighter; Coastal Command used it against shipping with torpedoes and RP-3 rockets.
