1/48 Vought F-4 U-1 A Corsair (2-in-1 Kit)

The Vought F4U-1A Corsair was an improved version of the famous American deck fighter aircraft deployed during World War II. Originally developed as an aircraft carrier aircraft, the Corsair became a feared adversary in the Pacific due to its speed, durability and powerful armament. The F4U-1A version introduced several major changes from previous versions - most notably a rearward-swept cockpit, a new "Malcolm hood" with no framing at the top and a metal stabilizer, which improved pilot visibility and handling at high speeds. The aircraft was used by both the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and participated in intense combat over Guadalcanal, Okinawa, and the Philippines.
