1/48 Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 double-sided express fit mask for Airfix
ASK masks for the Airfix Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 in 1/48 scale, in the double-sided Express Fit version. Two sheets cover the cockpit glazing and cabin windows inside and out.
ASK matched the sizes and shapes of the masks directly to the clear parts of the Airfix kit in 1/48 scale – an in-house design. Set ASK 200-M48181 from the SCALE MASK range comes on two sheets. The first carries masks for the large cockpit panes 1–8, frame strips 14–17, rectangular window masks 26–28, 30 and 31, small circular masks and a row of eight circular masks 32. The second sheet repeats selected masks (including 1, 5 and 27–31) for the inner side of the glazing. The one-sided version is 200-M48182.
The Westland Sea King was built under licence from the American Sikorsky SH-3 and powered by Rolls-Royce Gnome engines. The anti-submarine HAS.1 joined the Royal Navy in 1969, the upgraded HAS.5 in 1981, and the HU.5 was converted from the HAS.5 for the utility role. The masks are intended for the Airfix Sea King kit in 1/48 scale.
