1/48 Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 one-sided express fit mask for Airfix
ASK masks in a one-sided Express Fit version, made for the Airfix Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 in 1/48 scale. One sheet covers the outer side of the large cockpit panes, cabin windows and smaller clear parts.
ASK designed these masks itself, targeting the clear parts of the Airfix Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48182 from the SCALE MASK range holds masks numbered up to 32: shaped masks for the front and roof panes of the cockpit 1–8, frame strips 14–17, rectangular window masks 26–28, 30 and 31, small circular masks 20, 25 and 29 and a row of eight circular masks 32. The one-sided layout is intended for the outer face; the double-sided version is 200-M48181.
The Sea King served with the Royal Navy from 1969, first as the HAS.1 anti-submarine helicopter, then as the upgraded HAS.5 and as the utility HU.5; the Navy retired its last Sea King in September 2018. The Airfix kit in 1/48 scale can be built as all three versions, and the masks are shaped for it.
