1/700 Top Grade German Bismarck Battleship

The battleship Bismarck was commissioned into the Kriegsmarine in 1940. On her only operational sortie in May 1941 she sank the British battlecruiser Hood in the Denmark Strait and three days later, on 27 May 1941, was herself sunk by the Royal Navy.

Besides the plastic kit, the Top Grade edition includes a Detail Up Set with two photo-etched frets, metal parts, chain and a wooden deck. The hull is split into upper and lower sections, and an Arado Ar 196 floatplane is included. The colour guide shows the ship as she appeared between March and May 1941. The compact 1/700 scale combined with extensive detail parts will appeal to modellers who want a finely detailed model without buying extra sets. Paints and glue are not included.
