1/700 Top Grade HMS HOOD 1941
I Love Kit 1/700 Top Grade HMS HOOD 1941 is a plastic kit of the British battlecruiser. The Top Grade edition adds photo-etch, brass barrels, chain and a wooden deck. Paints and glue are not included.
For much of the interwar period HMS Hood was the largest warship in the world and a symbol of the Royal Navy. On 24 May 1941, in the Battle of the Denmark Strait, she was hit by the battleship Bismarck, blew up and sank; only three of her crew of more than 1400 survived.
According to the manufacturer the kit has 490 parts and the finished model measures 375 mm. The Detail Up Set contains steel and brass photo-etch, brass gun barrels, chain and a wooden deck, and a display stand with nameplate is also included. The hull is split into upper and lower sections. This 1/700 model pairs well with the Bismarck from the same series. Paints and glue are not included.
Nationality: Great Britain. Period: Second World War.
