1/700 USS North Carolina BB-55 Top Grade Model kit
I Love Kit 1/700 USS North Carolina BB-55 Top Grade is a plastic kit of the American battleship. The Top Grade edition adds photo-etch, brass barrels, chain and a coloured deck. Paints and glue are not included.
USS North Carolina BB-55 was the lead ship of her class and the first newly built US Navy battleship to enter service since 1923. During the Second World War she escorted carriers in the Pacific and earned fifteen battle stars; today she is a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The Detail Up Set contains a brass and a steel photo-etched fret, brass gun barrels, chain and a wooden deck tinted blue-grey. A display stand and an OS2U Kingfisher floatplane are also included. The colour guide shows the ship in a camouflage scheme, and the decals provide hull numbers, insignia and flags. Modellers looking for a richly equipped kit in a compact size will appreciate this 1/700 model. Paints and glue are not included.
