1/72 DH.94 Moth Minor

The De Havilland DH.94 Moth Minor was a British light, two-seater, single-engine aircraft from the late 1930s, developed as a modern and affordable successor to the popular Moth series. It was a low-wing aircraft with an open cockpit, designed as a simple, easy-to-handle aircraft suitable for training, sport and private flying. Although it was conceived primarily as a civilian aircraft, with the outbreak of the Second World War, many of these aircraft were used for military purposes – for example, they served as liaison and support aircraft with the Royal Air Force and the air forces of the Commonwealth, including Australia (RAAF) and New Zealand (RNZAF). For modellers, the Moth Minor is appealing for its elegant interwar lines and diverse range of operators, from civilian owners to military liaison units.

The included decals allow you to build several different aircraft. The military variants include the DH.94 ‘Sand Fly’ in USAAF colours deployed in Egypt, the British camouflaged G-AFTH in the wartime signals service, and also camouflaged aircraft of the Australian (RAAF) and New Zealand (RNZAF) air forces. The civilian aspect of the subject is represented by the silver G-AFPN with colour accents and ‘racing’ numbers, which offers an attractive and colourful alternative to the military camouflage schemes. Thanks to this range, modellers can choose between a understated military version with signs of operational wear and a striking civilian scheme. The kit does not include the paints or adhesives required for assembly.
