1/72 F-8E Crusader "Marines"
Brand: Hobby 2000

The Vought F-8 Crusader, known as "The Last of the Gunfighters", was the last American fighter aircraft to rely on guns as its main armament. The F-8E version, introduced into service in the early 1960s, brought a more powerful Pratt & Whitney J57 engine, upgraded avionics, AN/APQ-94 radar, and enhanced AIM-9 Sidewinder cruise missile carrying capabilities.

F-8E aircraft in the service of the U.S. Marine Corps operated during the Vietnam War from both ground bases and aircraft carrier decks. They performed fighter protection, escort, and ground target attack missions, and their pilots appreciated their superior flight characteristics and rugged construction.

The 1/72nd scale Hobby 2000 kit features detailed plastic parts with finely engraved paneling, authentic decals for USMC machines, and an accurate rendition of the F-8E version. This model is ideal for modelers interested in airborne fighter aircraft and Cold War air operations.

Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
