Hobby Boss 1/72 BR86 Steam Locomotive is a plastic kit of a locomotive for assembly. The BR86 tank locomotive carries water and coal on its own frame without a separate tender. Four coupled axles and external valve gear define its running gear. Decals offer Deutsche Reichsbahn numbers 86 245 and 86 271, with grey and black/red painting options.
Over 220 parts include the cab shell with clear glazing, boiler details and moulded coal. Wheels and connecting rods are assembled separately. Supplied rails and four roadbed sections provide a display base. This is a static plastic kit in 1/72, not a powered H0 railway model. Length is 191.5mm. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
