1/72 PLA Navy Type 21 Class Missile Boat

China built the Type 021 missile boats on the pattern of the Soviet Project 205 (Osa I) boats and commissioned them into the People's Liberation Army Navy. They are characterised by four box-shaped anti-ship missile containers beside the superstructure, unlike the cylindrical containers of the later Soviet Osa II.

The kit provides the hull and deck as separate parts, and the decal sheet offers PLAN naval ensigns and numerals for the hull number. The colour guide shows the boat in blue-grey with a brown deck. This 1/72 model makes an interesting counterpart to the Russian Osa II from the same range and suits modellers interested in Cold War navies. Paints and glue are not included.

Nationality: China. Period: Cold War, Present day.
