The Meng 1/72 Russian Main Battle Tank T-72B3M is a modernized version of the legendary Soviet T-72 tank in one of the latest Russian configurations. The kit offers detailed treatment of the dynamic protection, turret, chassis, and additional systems, making the model faithful to the appearance of the T-72B3M deployed in contemporary conflicts. In 1/72 scale, this is a compact but highly detailed miniature of a modern main battle tank.
The T-72B3M is one of the most advanced upgrades to the T-72 tank, which began appearing around 2016 in response to the need to increase the firepower, ballistic protection and digital equipment of Russian armoured units. The upgrade includes an improved 2A46M-5 gun, modern Sosna-U thermal imaging sights, a new V-92S2F engine with a high1,130 hp, and the distinctive Relikt reactive armour blocks, which replace the older Kontakt-5 system. These modifications have significantly increased the tank's combat value, situational awareness and survivability on the modern battlefield.
