Art Scale 1/72 Westland Whirlwind Mk.I is a 3D-printed, shape-corrected nose with four Hispano Mk.I cannon barrels. The set is designed for the Special Hobby kit.
The Art Scale set replaces the nose of the 1/72 Special Hobby Westland Whirlwind Mk.I kit with a correctly shaped part. The nose cone is 3D-printed with a row of fine rivets along the joint line and openings for the armament; four Hispano Mk.I cannon barrels with detailed jackets and muzzles are included.
The Westland Whirlwind was a British twin-engined, single-seat fighter used by the RAF during the Second World War. A characteristic feature was the armament of four 20 mm Hispano cannon grouped in the nose – so the set refines exactly this typical part of the aircraft.
