Academy Sopwith Camel F-1 in 1:32 scale is a plastic kit of a British single-seat fighter biplane from the First World War. It represents the F.1 version introduced on the Western Front in 1917 as the successor to the Sopwith Pup. Historical background
The Sopwith Camel reached the Western Front in 1917 as the successor to the Sopwith Pup. It was powered by a rotary engine and armed with twin synchronised Vickers machine guns. The type became famous for its agility, but it also demanded an experienced pilot. Camel pilots were credited with destroying 1,294 enemy aircraft, more than any other Allied fighter of the war.
