Academy 13312 - K9 SELF-PROPELLED ARTILLERY (motorized) (1:48)
Academy 13312 K9 is a motorised 1/48 plastic kit of the South Korean self-propelled howitzer. The snap-fit kit of coloured parts is driven by a wired remote control.
The K9 Thunder is a South Korean 155 mm self-propelled howitzer introduced by the Republic of Korea Army in the late 1990s. Thanks to its modern design and high rate of fire it has become one of the most successful export systems of its kind and serves with a number of other armies.
The Academy 13312 kit in 1/48 scale is easy to build even for beginners: the parts snap together and are moulded in the colours of the MCP (Multi Color Parts) range, so the model looks convincing even unpainted. A two-channel gearbox allows forward and reverse driving and steering via a wired remote control, and the barrel elevation can be set freely. Two AA or C batteries are required and sold separately.
The working model appeals to children and adults who want to build a functional model of modern equipment quickly.
Nationality: South Korea. Period: Present day.
Paints and glue are not included, but the coloured snap-fit parts do not require them.
