The British Ferret Scout Car Mk.1 armoured car was developed by Daimler in the late 1940s as a replacement for the Humber armoured cars of World War II. The compact 4x4 scout car was designed to move quickly in the front line and was mainly used for observation and liaison duties. The first version of the Mk.1 was equipped with only light armour and no turret, later several modifications were made with varying degrees of armament. The Ferret entered the armament of the British Army in 1952 and was exported to more than 30 countries.
The 1/35th scale Airfix A1386 kit is an accurate reproduction of the first production variant of the Mk.1It features a detailed interior, realistic undercarriage design and surface armour details. The model is suitable for both stand-alone presentation and for inclusion in Cold War themed dioramas. Decals for multiple versions and clear instructions are included.
