AK Enamel effects SLIMY GRIME DARK

AK Interactive AK026 Slimy Grime Dark (35 ml) Used to create traces of moss, algae, and a slimy surface caused by prolonged moisture. The dark green shade is intended for fresh, dark moss, algae, and slimy traces of moisture on ships, docks, wood, stones, and amphibious vehicles. It can be combined with the lighter variant AK027 and with the wet surface effect.

Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all crevices. It is used to specifically depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. For unknown combinations of paints and varnishes, first test the product in a hidden area.
3. Apply the product directly from the bottle using a fine brush around details, into joints, and in areas where water collects.
4. Before the edges are completely dry, soften them with a clean brush dampened with White Spirit. Create irregular patterns and thin streaks; a solid green area does not look natural.
5. Once dry, you can add a second shade of Slimy Grime or a localized wet effect to create a contrast between fresh and drying areas.
6. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
