AK Interactive AK123 OIF & OEF US Vehicles Streaking Effects (35 ml) Creates realistic vertical streaks of running dirt and localized deposits. The shade of dirt for the modern sand color FS 33446 is chosen for modern American vehicles from Operations OIF and OEF in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other sand or light brown paint schemes. The shade is tailored to the characteristic dirt found on modern American desert paint schemes.

Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all crevices. It is used to selectively depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. For unknown combinations of paints and varnishes, first test on a hidden area.
3. Using a fine, pointed brush, draw short, irregular vertical lines starting from the upper edges and details. You can leave some of the product in the corners to simulate accumulated dirt.
4. Let it dry for about 10 minutes. Then, using a clean flat brush lightly dampened with White Spirit, brush from top to bottom to soften the lines until a natural transition is achieved.
5. Vary the length, thickness, and intensity of the strokes. Once dry, you can reinforce selected streaks with another thin layer.
6. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess paint. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
