AK Enamel effects STREAKING GRIME FOR AFRIKA KORPS VEHICLES

AK Interactive AK067 Streaking Grime for DAK Vehicles (35 ml) Creates realistic vertical streaks of running dirt and localized deposits. The dirty gray shade is chosen for the sandy and light-colored surfaces of Afrika Korps vehicles and other desert equipment. This shade is chosen to replicate the characteristic dirt streaks found on vehicles operated in North Africa.

Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all crevices. It is used to selectively depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. For unknown combinations of paints and varnishes, test the product first on a hidden area.
3. Using a fine, pointed brush, draw short, irregular vertical lines starting from the upper edges and details. You can leave some of the product in the corners to simulate accumulated dirt.
4. Let it dry for about 10 minutes. Then, using a clean flat brush lightly dampened with White Spirit, brush from top to bottom to soften the lines until a natural transition is achieved.
5. Vary the length, thickness, and intensity of the strokes. Once dry, you can reinforce selected streaks with another thin layer.
6. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess paint. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
