AK Enamel effects STREAKING GRIME FOR DARK VEHICLES

AK Interactive AK024 Dark Streaking Grime (35 ml) Creates realistic vertical streaks of running dirt and localized deposits. The “Very Dark” shade is designed for green, brown, and other dark vehicle surfaces. It is the darkest shade in the line and is suitable, for example, for Shermans, T-34s, and other green military vehicles.

Unlike a wash, this effect is not applied uniformly to all seams. It is used to selectively depict dirt, moisture, or operational deposits, and its shape is created by subsequent blending.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface. If you’re unsure about a combination of paints and varnishes, test it first on a hidden area.
3. Using a fine, pointed brush, draw short, irregular vertical lines starting from the upper edges and details. You can leave some of the product in the corners to simulate accumulated dirt.
4. Let it dry for about 10 minutes. Then, using a clean flat brush lightly dampened with White Spirit, brush from top to bottom to soften the lines until a natural transition is achieved.
5. Vary the length, thickness, and intensity of the strokes. Once dry, you can reinforce selected streaks with another thin layer.
6. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or additional enamel effects.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for blending and removing excess paint. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
