AK Interactive AK757 Black Primer and Microfiller (100 ml) is a high-quality, ultra-fine, self-leveling primer in black. It creates a uniform surface for subsequent painting, improves the adhesion of subsequent layers, and, thanks to its micro-filling effect, helps smooth out very fine sanding marks and slight irregularities.
The black primer is suitable for use under dark shades and metallic colors; for high-gloss metallic finishes, it can enhance depth and contrast. The product is suitable for plastic models, figures, dioramas, sci-fi, and wargaming miniatures.
The primer is ready for direct application with an airbrush. If the viscosity needs to be adjusted, the manufacturer recommends AK470 Xtreme Cleaner & Thinner; the same product is also used to clean airbrushes and tools.
Recommended Procedure
- Wash or degrease the surface and remove any dust from sanding.
- Stir the primer thoroughly to ensure an even consistency.
- Apply several thin coats with an airbrush instead of one thick coat. Allow each coat to flash off briefly.
- The self-leveling micro-filler will only smooth out very fine imperfections; repair deeper cracks and dents in advance with modeling putty and sand them down.
- Allow the primer to cure thoroughly before sanding or applying additional colors.
Use AK470 Xtreme Cleaner & Thinner for thinning and cleaning. Regular water-based acrylic thinner is not suitable for this primer.
