In nature and architecture, the ivy(Hedera helix) is a symbol of longevity and the gradual victory of nature over human creations. AK Vegetation - Ivy (AK8137) brings this plant into the world of model making with incredible precision. Thanks to laser technology, each petal has its own distinctive lobed shape that would be impossible to replicate at this scale with handmade or plastic moldings.
In historical modelling, ivy is invaluable. It is perfect for dioramas of European towns and villages (e.g. during the battles in France or Italy), where it covers the facades of houses, cemetery walls or the trunks of old oak trees. It is also a perfect element for "greening" the wreckage of machinery that has been lying in the landscape for a long time, giving the scene a melancholy and realistic feel. Ivy can effectively cover joints between buildings and the substrate or mask minor imperfections in a structure.

Fixing: We recommend using a small amount of white glue (PVA) for sticking to vertical surfaces (building walls). For fixing in the ground, AK118 Gravel & Sand Fixer is ideal as it leaves no residue when dry and maintains the matt appearance of the plant.
Important note: The package does not contain paint or glue. The plants are supplied in a realistic green colour which can be further tinted with washes or filters as required.
