Information about the original and the model:
The Messerschmitt Bf 110, one of the most distinctive aircraft of World War II, was a twin-engine heavy fighter designed to be faster and better armed than any other fighter of the time, and during the first months of World War II, it certainly proved to be a devastatingly effective machine. Although it struggled against RAF pilots during the Battle of Britain, it continued to prove its worth as a long-range fighter-bomber and ground-attack aircraft over vast areas of Russia, as well as in the Mediterranean and North Africa, where it served for the remainder of World War II.
