Gannet AS.4 1/48 recommended for AIRFIX
Eduard BIG49408 Gannet AS.4 1/48 is a value Big Ed bundle with three upgrade sets for the Airfix kit, this time for the improved AS.4. The package holds masks, a photo-etched set and STEEL seatbelts.
Eduard BIG49408 Gannet AS.4 1/48 brings together three Eduard upgrade sets for the Fairey Gannet AS.4 carrier-borne anti-submarine aircraft in 1/48 scale in one value bundle (recommended for the Airfix kit):
Set contents
- EX1016 Gannet AS.1/AS.4 – masks
- 491425 Gannet AS.4 – photo-etched set
- FE1426 Gannet AS.1/AS.4 STEEL seatbelts – Zoom set
The masks and STEEL seatbelts are the same as in the AS.1 bundle, but the photo-etched set is designed specifically for the AS.4. The AS.4 differed from the AS.1 mainly in its more powerful Double Mamba engine and served in the anti-submarine role aboard Royal Navy carriers. With its unmistakable silhouette and contra-rotating propellers, the Gannet is a sought-after subject from post-war British naval aviation.
The base plastic kit is not included.
