The Kokusai Ta-Go was an improvised single-seat attack aircraft developed in 1945 as part of Japan's last-ditch defense plan. Construction was as simple as possible, mostly of wood, to minimize the consumption of precious raw materials. The aircraft was designed to carry a small bomb load and to carry out suicide attacks on Allied forces expected to invade the Japanese mainland.
Due to the rapid advance of Allied forces and the end of the war, the Ta-Go never saw combat deployment. Only a few prototypes survived and the project was quickly abandoned.
The Brengun 1/48 Kokusai Ta-Go kit features precision crafted plastic parts that capture the simple design of this aircraft. The model includes historically accurate decals matching the planned versions.
The high level of detail and interesting historical value make this model ideal for modelers interested in the unusual projects of the Japanese Air Force at the end of World War II.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
