The model depicts a version with refurbished arms, which have been equipped with a mechanical power-assisted exoskeleton to increase strength and stability. The Evangelion Production Model-08γ is piloted by Mari Makinami Illustrious and participates in a pivotal battle alongside the Evangelion Production Model-New 02α in the final film.

The kit features superbly crafted parts in various colors, intricate details, and delicate decals to complete the look. Once assembled, the model stands 305 mm tall. The kit does not include glue or paint.
