The cockpit is made specifically for the P-51D-5 block, while the propeller and gun bays are shared with other ESSENTIAL sets for the P-51D in 1/72 scale. Even on a small model, 3D printing captures fine elements of the instrument panel, propeller blades and open gun bays. The P-51D-5 belongs to the early production blocks of the bubble-canopy Mustang; it was powered by a Packard Merlin engine and carried six .50 calibre machine guns in the wing.
The base plastic kit is not included.
