Revell Dornier Do 335 "Pfeil" 1:48 is a plastic kit of a late-war German aircraft with an unusual push-pull engine layout. Instead of the normal wing-mounted engines of a twin-engined aircraft, the original used two piston engines in the fuselage: one at the front and one at the rear.
The Do 335 aircraft
The Do 335 first flew in 1943. This tandem engine arrangement was intended to reduce drag and limit the effects of asymmetric thrust if one engine failed. Only a small number reached service, making the type less common than more familiar Luftwaffe aircraft of the period.
What's in the box
The plastic kit contains 81 parts, decals, figures and instructions. Revell also lists detailed surface textures for this release. Glue, brushes and paints are not included.
